BUILDING HISTORY

1230 WATER ST., WHEELING

Constructed in 1873, and formerly known as the Berry Supply Building, our venue was built as a headquarters for a successful cordage manufacturing family. The rope made here was a valuable commodity to river boat owners traversing the Ohio River, as well as local industry.

Later, the building and business evolved into a mill supply store and then a kitchen and bath distributor and retail business.

Now, The Berry Building has been re-imagined as a hub for entertainment, great food + drink, and celebration. The three-story, 15,500-square-foot history-rich building offers tremendous views of the Ohio River and other landmarks that are sure to inspire your creativity and make your special events memorable
